DURHAM, N.C. --    Drake senior Leyden Tolhurst (Auckland, New Zealand) placed ninth in the men's 1,500-meter run at the Duke Asics Inviational Friday being clocked in 3 minutes 53.76 seconds.

In the women's 1,500-meter run, Drake senior Nicole Braunsdorf (St. Francis, Wis.) was ninth in 4:32.40, while Drake sophomore Casey McDermott (Newton, Iowa) was 14th in 4:37.67.

Sophomore Andrew Haigh (Auckland, New Zealand) was 11th in the men's 5,000-meter Section B seeded race in 15:13.14.

Freshman Colin Hagan (Wichita, Kan.) was second in the men's 5,000 Section C seeded race in 15:09.53.
