Drake University sophomore Taryn Rolle  has been named the Missouri Valley Track & Field Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced.

Rolle opened the 2015-16 season with a second-place finish in the triple jump at the SDSU Holiday Invite with a leap of 40-8.25. Her jump was a personal best by more than a foot and currently ranks as the sixth-best jump in the nation this season. 

She also finished third in the long jump with a mark of 18-5.25, also a personal best of more than a foot and the 27th-best jump in the nation this season. She currently leads the MVC in the triple jump and is second in the long jump behind only teammate Kayla Bell.

Rolle and the Bulldogs resume their indoor season following the winter break on Jan. 15-16 at the Holiday Inn Invite in Lincoln, Neb.
