DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's golf team returns to the links on Sunday for the Northern Intercollegiate at the Beverly Country Club in Chicago.
The 54-hole event hosted by Northern Illinois features 12 teams including; Bradley, Drake, Grand Canyon, Illinois, Indiana, Loyola, Marquette, North Dakota, SIUE, Western Illinois and Youngstown State.
Competition will get underway with 36 holes on Sunday, starting at 8:45, followed by 18 holes on Monday.
The Bulldogs are coming off hosting the Zach Johnson Invitational, where they finished in seventh-place. Junior
Drew Ison led the team with a fourth-place finish with a score of 224 (73-72-79). Freshman
Chase Wicklund placed tied for 16th with a score of 232 (74-78-80), while sophomore
Jack Kennedy carded a 79 in the final round for a total score of 238 (78-81-79). Junior
Matt Lavery, who played as an individual and will most likely be in this week's lineup, finished tied for 14th-place with a score of 231 (75-76-80).
Following the Northern Intercollegiate, the Bulldogs head to the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Invitational on Oct. 23-25 for their final tournament of the fall season.
