DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team is set to play at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships on Saturday through Monday in Evansville, Ind.
 
The whole squad will be in action this weekend as Tess Herder will square off with Bradley's Ari Dechter in the first round of the Flight 1 singles draw. Summer Brills opens the tournament against Diana Tkachenko from Evansville in the Flight 2 singles, while Joely Lomas faces off with Missouri State's Alye Darter in the first round of the Flight 3 singles. Kenya Williams will compete in Flight 4 and begin her run against Alexa Brandt from Bradley. Mela Jaglarz will take on Valerjia Gercar from Illinois State in the first round of the Flight 5 draw. Freshman Abigail Sogard will make her collegiate debut against Missouri State's Alexia Meyer in the Flight 6 draw.
 
All six Bulldogs will also play doubles with Lomas and Brills teaming up in Flight 1, Herder and Williams in Flight 2 and Jaglarz and Sogard in Flight 3.
 
The first round of doubles will kick off the event on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by two round of singles.
