GREEN BAY, Wis. – Following a two-game homestand, the Drake University women's basketball team returns to the road for a Saturday afternoon game at Green Bay. Tipoff with the Phoenix is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
Drake (3-2) visits Green Bay (5-1) after topping Northern Illinois, 95-86, Wednesday at the Knapp Center. In a battle between two high-scoring teams, the Bulldogs held the Huskies 11 points below their national-leading average (97.0) to avenge last season's defeat in DeKalb, Ill. Four players scored in double figures for Drake, led by senior
Lizzy Wendell (Blue Springs, Mo.), who poured in a game-high 30 points. It is the ninth career 30-plus scoring performance for Wendell who earlier in the day was named a nominee for the 2017 Allstate Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Good Works Team.

Caitlin Ingle (Runnells, Iowa) recorded her second points/assists double-double this season and the 12
th in her career with 13 points and 11 assists. Freshman
Becca Hittner (Urbandale, Iowa) made her impressive season debut for the Bulldogs with 16 points on 6-of-7 shooting. Sophomore
Sara Rhine (Eldon, Mo.) was the other Bulldog in double-figures with 19 points.
Drake and Green Bay will be a contest that features one of the country's top scoring teams in the Bulldogs and one of the top defensive teams in the Phoenix. Drake averages 80.2 points per game while Green Bay holds opponents to 51.5 points per game. Each team leads their respective conferences, the Missouri Valley Conference and the Horizon League, in each statistical category.
The all-time head-to-head series between Drake and Green Bay is close with the Phoenix holding a 4-2 advantage after beating the Bulldogs last season in Des Moines. Redshirt senior Mehryn Kraker is averaging a team-leading 15.7 points per game while junior Jessica Lindstrom is averaging a double-double at 13.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Kevin Borseth is in his second stint at the helm of Green Bay and has taken the Phoenix to the NCAA Tournament 10 times.
Following Saturday's game, Drake continues its road trip Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Nebraska with tipoff set for 7 p.m.
