ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake's Summer Brills was named Missouri Valley Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday, March 29.
 
Brills went 4-0 for the week as she helped lead the Bulldogs to wins over Northern Iowa and Upper Iowa. She teamed up with Tess Herder and defeated Upper Iowa's Kelly Jachymowksi and Anna Okolot, 6-1 and UNI's Astrid Santos and Gisela Kemper, 7-5. In singles, Brills topped UIU's Isabella Sella, 6-3, 6-2 and then clinched the win for the Bulldogs over UNI with a 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 victory over Elvira Lopez at No. 2.
 
Brills and the rest of the Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday when they host Iowa at 3 p.m.
