SEDONA, Ariz. – Sophomore
Madison Glennie earned a top-20 finish at the Red Rock Invitational to lead the Drake University women's golf team to a sixth-place finish on Sunday.
"I was pleased with our improved team round today. We are really close to breaking through as a group," Drake head coach
Rachael Pruett said. "The focus all year has been on the process and we'll keep doing just that."
Glennie fired a 76 in the final 18-holes for a total score of 155 (79-76), good for 20
th-place. Freshman
Grace Dunn finished tied for 21
st-place by shooting a 156 (79-77), while classmate
Sophie Hill registered a final score of 159 (81-78). Sophomore
Brooke Miller recorded a 164 (80-84), as senior
Katie Clausen rounded out the Bulldogs' effort with a 171 (88-83).
As a team, the Bulldogs were five strokes better on the final round compared to the first day, recording a 314 for a total score of 633 (319-314).
