Gillespie Invited to Oracle ITA Masters Tournament

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the invitation of Drake men's tennis Vinny Gillespie into its 32-player singles draw for the 2016 Oracle ITA Masters event set for Oct. 13-16 in Malibu, Calif.
 
Last season, Gillespie earned All-MVC honors as he ranked second on the team with 21 singles wins and led the squad with 16 doubles victories. He made is collegiate debut at the ITA All-American Championships and advanced to the singles quarterfinals at the ITA Central Regional Championship.

One of four national championship events on the college tennis calendar, the annual Oracle ITA Masters features 28 student-athletes who earned bids from their respective conferences plus four student-athletes who received wild cards or at-large selections.
