We've arrived in Italy! The Drake women's basketball party arrived in Rome early Monday (Aug. 7) morning. The travel party wasted little time after clearing customs and meeting up with a large group of family, friends and supporters who had already arrived in Rome.
 
The group then visited several sites around Rome via bus and a walking tour before we could check in to our hotel. The sites we visited included the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon – Roman Temple, Piazza De Spagna and the Spanish Steps.
 
After an excellent start to the trip our group had a few hours to rest at our hotel before a dinner that the entire travel party attended. The meal was excellent!
 
Tuesday (Aug. 8) will be another busy day as the party heads to Vatican City this morning. Check back later for another update and a photo gallery of our time so far! #DogCiao
