ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Valley Conference unveiled its 2016-17 men's basketball schedule Tuesday, Sept. 6, to complete the Drake University men's basketball schedule for the upcoming season.
The Bulldogs will again host all nine MVC teams in the league's traditional, 18-game, round-robin format.
Drake begins league play prior to New Year's Day with a Dec. 29 home game against Loyola at the Knapp Center. The Bulldogs also host Evansville (Jan. 8), Indiana State (Jan. 11), Southern Illinois (Jan. 18), reigning MVC Tournament champion UNI (Jan. 28), MVC regular-season champion Wichita State (Feb. 1), Illinois State (Feb. 7), Missouri State (Feb. 18) and Bradley (Feb. 28).
League road games include SIU (Jan. 1), Wichita State (Jan. 4), UNI (Jan. 15), Illinois State (Jan. 21), Missouri State (Jan. 24), Bradley (Feb. 4), Indiana State (Feb. 11), Evansville (Feb. 14) and Loyola (Feb. 24).
The conference slate is followed by the State Farm MVC Tournament in St. Louis, Mo., March 2-5.
