NEWTON, Kan. – The Drake University women's golf team concluded the fall season on Tuesday with the final round of the Missouri Valley Conference Preview at the Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan.
"Overall, we played better today. It was close to being a great day. We just lost a few strokes at the end of our rounds," said Drake head coach
Rachael Pruett.
The Bulldogs put together their best round of the tournament, recording a 312 for a total score 947 (321-314-312) and finishing in ninth-place.
Junior
Grace Dunn and sophomore
Sigurlaug Jonsdottir both fired a four-over par 76 on the final day to finish tied for 20th-place with a total score of 233. Senior
Madison Glennie recorded her best round of the 54-hole event, shooting a 79 for a total score of 241 (82-80-79). Freshman
Sam Paulak carded an 81 for a total score of 246 (79-86-81), while sophomore
Aimee Gerschke rounded out the Bulldogs' effort with a 254 (91-80-83).
Senior
Brooke Miller, who played as an individual, finished with a score of 249 (82-80-87).
"We look forward to getting back to work this off season to prepare to take this course on in the spring," said Pruett.
The MVC Preview wrapped up the Bulldogs' fall season.
