ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Danny Donley and Sean Lynch earned their first-career weekly Pioneer Football League honors, the league announced on Sunday, Oct. 22.
 
Donley was named PFL Special Teams Player of the Week as he was responsible for 13 points in the Bulldogs' 19-14 PFL victory against Marist on Saturday.  He connected on all four of his field goals, becoming one of seven kickers in the FCS this season to go perfect while making four or more field goals. Donley connected on kicks of 20, 30, 27 and 22 yards in addition to making his lone PAT try. He is the first Bulldogs kicker to make four field goals in a game since Billy Jenssen in 2011.
 
 
Lynch was awarded PFL Defensive Player of the Week as he intercepted a pair of passes to help Drake win a PFL defensive battle. His first interception stopped a Marist drive just before it entered Drake territory in the second quarter. Lynch's second pick came in the fourth quarter and halted the Red Foxes at the Drake 15-yard line. He also had a game-high 11 tackles (eight solo). Lynch's lone tackle for loss also provided a pivotal stop, coming on 4th-and-1 at the Drake 23-yard line and forcing a turnover on downs to start the second quarter.
 
Donley, Lynch and the rest of the Bulldogs host Davidson on Saturday at 1 p.m.
