DES MOINES, Iowa – A total of 15 Drake University student-athletes from six different sports received their diploma at the Drake University 143rd commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Knapp Center
This group of distinct and successful student-athletes includes two CoSIDA Academic All-America second team members.
Tanner Evans of football and
Aleksi Tuominen of men's soccer earned 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America second team honors and CoSIDA All-District first team accolades.
Athletically, eight earned all-conference honors of some degree, including Lizzy Wendell, who garnered multiple All-American honorable mention accolades and was the 2017 MVC Jackie Stiles Player of the Year.
