SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – Drake University's
Madison Glennie was named first-team Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete for the second-straight year, announced by the league office on Wednesday (April 26).
Glennie, a junior from Clearwater, Fla., owns a perfect 4.0 grade-point average as an English major. She recorded 22 rounds in the 70s this season and posted a 78.0 average through 28 rounds. Glennie capped off the 2017 season with a 17th-place finish at the MVC Championship to earn her second-straight top-18 flag honor.
To be eligible for nominations to the MVC Scholar-Athlete teams, nominees must own a cumulative GPA of 3.20 based on a 4.0 scale and be a starter or important reserve and have played in at least 75 percent of its team's matches. Student-athletes also must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution and have completed at least one full academic year at their respective institution.
