Dunn Continues Strong Start To The Fall Season At The Cardinal Classic

Junior Grace Dunn is on pace to be the Bulldogs' top score for the third-straight tournament.

YORKTOWN, Ind. – The Drake University women's golf team posted a score of 618 through 36 holes and is in 15th-place at the Cardinal Classic on Monday.
 
The Bulldogs start out the day strong, recording a 305 in the first round, but the final round of the day didn't go as well as they tallied a 313. Indianapolis leads the 19-team field with a score of 569 (283-286), while MVC foe Bradley isn't far behind with a total score of 576 (284-292).
 
Junior Grace Dunn began her day firing a two-over 74 and then followed it up with a 75 for a total score of 149 (74-75), good for tied for 26th-place. One stroke separates sophomores Aimee Gerschke and Sigurlaug Jonsdottir, who recorded a 157 (78-79) and 158 (78-80), respectively. Freshman Sam Paulak got out to a great start, shooting a 75, but ended up recording an 84 in the second round for a total score of 159. Senior Madison Glennie rounded out the team's day with a score of 159 (80-79) as well.
 
Drake will wrap up play at the Cardinal Classic for the final round on Tuesday.
