YORKTOWN, Ind. – The Drake University women's golf team finished tied for 14th-place out of 19 teams at the Cardinal Classic on Monday at The Players Club in Yorktown, Ind.
"I'm proud of the effort the ladies showed this weekend. We still had some big holes, but we stayed in it and battled back to keep our rounds going," said Drake head coach
Rachael Pruett. "To shoot 305, 313 and 305, makes us feel like we didn't even play that great and shows how close we are to break through as a team."
The Bulldogs recorded a 305 on the final day of the 54-hole event for a total score of 923 (305-313-305), tying with Bowling Green for 14th-place.
Junior
Grace Dunn was the Bulldogs top scorer for the third-straight tournament after shooting a 75 on the final day for a total score of 224 (74-75-75), finishing tied for 27th-place. Sophomore
Sigurlaug Jonsdottir led the team in the final round with a two-over par 74 for a total score of 232 (78-80-74). Senior
