Matt Lewis announced a six-tournament schedule for 2018, highlighted by the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship in Cape Girardeau, Mo. (April 23-24).
The Bulldogs will open the season in Tampa, Fla. for the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play tournament on Feb. 12-13. The two-day event will consist of 54 holes of match play competitions. Teams will be seeded one through eight based upon Golfstat rankings and then placed into an 8-team bracket. All teams will play three matches with the losing teams from the first and second round continuing to compete in a consolation bracket. Each team match will consist of six individual matches.
Drake then heads to Arizona for back-to-back tournaments. The Bulldogs play at the Loyola Intercollegiate for the second-straight year on Feb. 25-26, before traveling back to the Copper State on March 16-17 for the GCU Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.
Drake returns to the Midwest for the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate on April 1-2 at Normal, Ill. and the Tiger Invitational on April 9-10 at Columbia, Mo.
The Bulldogs will use the Hawkeye Invitational on April 14-15 as their final tune-up for the MVC Championship on April 23-24.
