DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's golf team returns to action on Monday at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Mo.
The 54-hole event hosted by Missouri State features Memphis, Murray State, UMKC, Drake, Wichita State, Omaha, South Dakota State, Louisiana Monroe, Creighton, South Dakota, UTEP, Oklahoma City, William Woods and Drury.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on both days.
The Bulldogs finished last week's UNO Invitational strong with all four scorers shooting under 80 on the final day. Junior
Grace Dunn strung together nine consecutive pars to finish three-over par and tied for ninth-place with a total score of 229 (79-75-75). Sophomore
Aimee Gerschke shot a 79 for a total score of 240 (79-82-79), while freshman
Sam Paulak fired a four-over par 76 to finish with a 241 (85-80-76). Senior
Brooke Millercarded a 79 for a total score of 244 (80-85-79), while fellow senior recorded a 248 (84-79-85).
Following the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial, Drake heads to Muncie, Ind. for the Cardinal Classic on Sept. 18-19.
