SEDONA, Ariz. – The Drake University women's golf team finished in 12th-place out of 16 teams at the Red Rocks Invitational Sunday at the Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz.
The Bulldogs recorded a 326 in the final round for a 54-hole total of 968 (321-321-326) and were just a stroke back from 10th-place Boise State and Seattle. College of Charleston took home the team title with a score of 909 (301-306-302).
Freshman
Sam Paulak fired a five-over par 77 to lead Drake on the final day and finished with a total score of 243 (89-77-77).
Sophomore
Aimee Gerschke finished as the team's top scorer for the first time of the season with a total score of 242 (76-82-84). Junior
Grace Dunn tied with Paulak with a total score of 243 (79-83-81) after shooting an 81 in the final round. Senior
Madison Glennie totaled a score of 245 (80-79-86), while
Sigurlaug Jonsdottir rounded out the team's effort with a total score of 254 (86-84-84).
The Bulldogs return to the links on March 30-31 at the Bradley Spring Invitational in Peoria, Ill.
