DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team clinched at a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship with its 6-1 victory over Bradley Sunday at Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
 
Drake (14-5, 4-0 MVC) swept all three doubles matches to earn an early 1-0 lead.
 
Freshman Liza Petushkova earned her 18th win of the season as she cruised past Natalia Barbery, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles to extend the Drake's lead to 2-0.
 
Senior Mela Jaglarz rolled past Kinga Kovac 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 to push Drake's lead to 3-0.
 
A few minutes later, fellow senior Summer Brills clinched the Bulldog win with an impressive 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles.
 
Kenya Williams and Tess Herder each earned three-set wins at No. 4 and No. 2, respectively to round out the team's effort.
 
The Bulldogs will close out the regular season on Sunday, April 22 at Missouri State. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
