ELMHURST, Ill. – Drake University's Tom Hands was named Summit League Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced on Tuesday.
 
Hands posted 2-0 records in both singles and doubles match during the week. He clinched both of Drake's victories with straight-set wins at No. 3 singles. Hands defeated Wichita State's Marius Frosa, 6-3, 6-1 and teamed for a 6-4 doubles win at the No. 3 spot in the team's 4-0 triumph. He then bested Valparaiso's Brandon Ancona, 6-2, 6-2, and combined for a 6-2 No. 3 doubles win.
 
Hands owns a 15-10 singles record and 18-9 doubles mark this season.
 
Hands and the rest of the Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Nebraska. First serve is set for 5 p.m.
