ELMHURST, Ill. – Drake University's
Ben Clark was named Summit League Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced Monday, April 23.
Clark, who earned the weekly award on Jan. 23 and March 13, posted 2-0 records in both singles and doubles and helped the Bulldogs cap off an undefeated record in Summit League play. He clinched Drake's win over Nebraska as he topped Isaac Nortey, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 at No. 5 singles. Clark defeated Illinois State's Egehan Sertkaya in straight-sets, 6-0, 6-2. In doubles, Clark and
Finley Hall teamed up for a pair of 6-3 wins over Nebraska and Illinois State.
Clark owns a 17-8 singles record and 16-3 doubles mark this season.
The Bulldogs head into the Summit League Tournament as the top seed and will square off against No. 4 seed Oral Roberts on Friday at 11 a.m. CST in Denver, Colo.
