DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University track and field teams recorded six top-20 finishes Thursday evening as part of the annual Distance Carnival at the Drake Relays presented by Hy-Vee.
Senior
Bailee Cofer (Overland, Kan.) helped lead the way with an 11
th place finish in the women's seeded 5,000 meters. Cofer finished in 17:09.75, just off her personal best set at last year's Drake Relays.
Kyle Brandt (Maple Grove, Minn.) clocked a personal best in the open 10,000 meters in 31:52.87 to finish in 17
th place. Former Bulldog standout Brogan Austin turned in a second-place finish in 29:50.85.
Another former Bulldog great,
Reed Fischer, won his second-straight 5,000 meters in 13:53.32.
