The Drake University volleyball team departed Des Moines June 8 to embark on a week long excursion to Costa Rica full of matches against top-level competition and an immersion in Costa Rican culture.

The Bulldogs arrived in the northern Costa Rican city of Liberia and will spend their first few days in Tamarindo before embarking to the city of San Jose. In addition to three scheduled volleyball matches, the team will also conduct youth clinics and take in all the sights and experiences the Central American nation has to offer.
