Glennie, Jonsdottir and Paulak Named To WGCA All-American Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Drake women's golfers Madison Glennie, Sigurlaug Jonsdottir and Sam Paulak were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team for their effort in the classroom.
 
Glennie, a senior from Clearwater, Fla., maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average in English and law, politics to receiver her fourth WGCA honor. Jonsdottir also holds a perfect GPA in math and chemistry to earn her second award. Paulak maintains a 3.68 GPA as a business studies major.
 
Glennie, who was named a Google Cloud Academic All-American last month, finished her career strong as she placed tied for 18th at the MVC Championship. She concluded her stellar career with a 76.5 round average over 106 career rounds.
 
Jonsdottir averaged 80.5 over 23 rounds and posted eight rounds in the 70s. Paulak wrapped up her rookie season with an 81.3 stroke average over 26 rounds and recorded 11 rounds in the 70s.
 
The WGCA All-American Scholar Golf Teams recognize outstanding academic and athletic achievements in women's college golf across Division I, II and III. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with student-athletes needing to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.
