Biography

2015: Had a pair of tackles against Stetson, including one for a loss...had one tackle and two assists against William Jewell.

2014: Started all 11 games … totaled 21 tackles, including three for a loss … registered two sacks and two pass breakups … recorded three solo stops against Butler … made five tackles and broke up a pass at Valparaiso ... had four tackles, two solo sacks and three tackles for loss against Davidson ... had two stops at Jacksonville ... made one tackle against Marist ... made two tackles at Western Illinois ... had three solo stops against Truman State ... started and had one solo tackle against Grand View. 

2013: Saw action in seven games ... had one tackle, an 8-yard tackle for loss in the win over Indianapolis.

2012: Did not see any game action.

2011: Redshirted.

Prep: All-B District 2 defensive selection in 2010 for Skutt Catholic High School in Omaha ... also earned honorable mention all-state honors ... football team captain as senior ... three-year academic all-conference and honor roll laurels ... member of FCA and Future Business Leaders of America.

Personal: Business major ... named to 2011, 2012 and 2013 Pioneer Football League Fall Academic Honor Roll ... recipient of Drake Presidential and Trustee Scholarships ... son of Jay and Amy Vankat ... born in March, 1993 in Nebraska.
