Entries for the elementary and middle school events are currently closed.
All student-athletes must have a completed waiver in order to compete at the Drake Relays.
Elementary School Division
Elementary Entry Form Deadline: March 6th, 2026
Elementary School Entry Process:
| 1. Complete an '2026 Intent to Enter' form (either from the button above or copy received via email) |
| 2. Submit entry form via email and process payment digitally at that time OR return entry form by mail with a check enclosed |
3. When payment is received, coaches will be emailed a copy of the
'2026 Athlete Entry Form' |
| 4. Submit Athlete Entry Form via email when runners' names are confirmed. These are the names that will be printed in the Drake Relays program. |

Note to Elementary Teams:
The Elementary Shuttle will take place on Thursday night, April 23rd with the Distance Carnival! The tentative plan is that the shuttle will take place at 5:22 PM. As always, we will be accepting both boys and girls teams from the same school OR one co-ed team from that school. A single elementary school may not enter all three team divisions. The Elementary Shuttle will accept 25 co-ed teams, 25 girls teams, and 25 boys teams. The timeline will be very similar to past years and will be explained in the Coaches Information sheet upon confirmation of your school's entry.
Middle School Division
Middle School Registration Opens: March 7th, 2026 at 11:00 AM
Middle School Registration Closes: April 12th, 2026 at 6:00 PM
Verified Meet Result Deadline: April 15th, 2026 at 10:00 PM
Middle School Entry Process:
| 1. Register your Middle School with Athletic.net by creating a free coach account |
| 2. "Add a Meet" to your team calendar by searching for the 2026 Drake Relays Athletic.net page (button can be found above) |
| 3. Enter your team roster by adding athletes to your team page |
| 4. Register athletes for the 2026 Drake Relays by entering students into the correct events/division. Payment can processed digitally via Athletic.net at this time. |
5. Ensure leg order and runners' names are correct.

*Please note that payment is only due for the 4x100 event upon submission of your Athletic.net entry.
**DMR & Mixed 4x400 payment will not be due until after teams have confirmed their qualification.
Note to Middle School Boys & Girls Teams:
The middle school events will be similar to last year. A 4x100 Meter Relay will take place on the Jim Duncan track on Friday night, April 24, 2026. The tentative time for the middle school 4x100 is 5:52 PM. The first 40 girls and 40 boys teams who enter will be allowed to compete. Complete your online registration as soon as possible, as these events fill quickly. Payment for the 4x100 event will be due online upon submission.
On the schedule for the 116th Drake Relays is also the Distance Medley Relay (DMR). The DMR will be a 1600m event, which will be run as a 200m-200m-400m-800m. Tentatively, the DMR will be the first event of the evening session on Friday, April 24th, at 5:00 PM. Eight girls teams and eight boys teams will be selected to run based on verified meet times.
After the DMR, the Mixed 4x400 event will also take place on Friday, April 24th, tentatively scheduled for 7:04 PM. The leg order for this event will be boy-girl-boy-girl. Additional details regarding this event are currently being reviewed and will be updated when a decision has been made.
You can submit verified meet times via Athletic.net or to meetmgmt@drake.edu. Payment for the DMR & Mixed 4x400 can be paid after teams have been confirmed/notified that their school has qualified. Relay teams will be announced after all 2026 verified meet times are evaluated.
