Junior Klavdija Rebol (Kranj, Slovenia) captured a 6-2, 6-3 victory past Claire McNulty of Dayton in the top singles flight.

Going 2-0 in the 'B' singles draw was senior Ali Patterson (Overland Park, Kan.), who bested Katie Boeckman of Dayton, 6-4, 6-3, and Heather Nisbet of Illinois State, 6-1, 6-3.

The Bulldogs also garnered triumphs courtesy of freshmen Mariel Ante (Riverside, Calif.), Jordan Eggleston (LaQuinta, Calif.), Maddie Johnson (Onalaska, Wis.) and Evy Van Genechten (Antwerp, Belgium).

Competition on the day began outdoors before rains forced matches to be moved indoors.

Tournament play at the Redbird Roundup resumes on Saturday (Sept. 22) beginning at 9:00 a.m.
