LEMONT, Ill. – Junior
Drew Ison fired a 69 on the final day of the John Dallion Memorial Tournament to lead the Drake University men's golf team to a sixth-place finish on Tuesday.
Ison's 69 put him in fourth-place with a total score of 222 (75-78-69). Freshman
Kyle MacDonald finished tied for 14th-place with a score of 228 (72-76-80). Sophomore
Tommi Avant recorded a 79 for the second lowest round of the day for the Bulldogs for a total score of 234 (78-77-79). Freshman
Chase Wicklund and
Arjun Reddy finished with a 237 (77-79-81) and 239 (76-79-84), respectively.
Junior
Matt Lavery, who played as an individual, finished in 13th-place with a score of 227 (74-79-74).
As a team, the Bulldogs ended the 54-hole event with a score of 919 (300-310-309) and were four stroke behind MVC-foe Northern Iowa who finished in fourth.
Drake returns to the links on Oct. 3 when the Bulldogs hosts the second annual Zach Johnson Invitational at The Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes, Iowa.
