DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake University head men's basketball coach Niko Medved has announced the addition of Antonio Pilipovic to the roster for the upcoming 2017-18 season. Pilipovic is a 6-7 forward from Cologne, Germany.
 
"We are excited about adding a player like Antonio to our program," Medved said. "He brings us a unique combination of size and skill and has a lot of experience playing at the international level."
 
Pilipovic competed with the Rhein Stars Köln the past two seasons in the German Pro A league, the second-highest level of basketball in Germany, where he played more than 20 games for the organization's top team. As a member of the Rhein Stars junior team, he was a league All-Star and averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds per game.
 
Pilipovic will join the Bulldogs' two other signees, Jalen Gibbs and Noah Thomas, on a roster that features nine returning players from 2016-17.
