In his third season as a student assistant coach...appointed to that position in July 2010 when he was no longer able to play because of injury.

2010 — Played in all 11 games in a reserve role and posted 10 tackles (9 solo) with one pass breakup.

• Posted career-high three solo tackles at Jacksonville (10/9).
• Contributed two solo stops vs. Marist (10/2).

2009 — Awarded Special Teams Scout Player of the Year at Channing Smith banquet...redshirted.

Prep — Named to Iowa Newspaper Association Class 1A all-state second-team as defensive back as well as first-team all-district as quarterback at Griswold (Iowa) High School...honored as second-team all-district in 2006 and 2007...four-year letterwinner in track and baseball and three-year letterman in basketball...member of National Honor Society...hails from Lewis, Iowa.
