Why Drake University?
While great cheerleading is important at Drake University, it is not our only concern. We promote a positive environment that enhances your personal development for success in life. This is only possible through a program that balances academics, cheerleading and personal time.

The goal for our team is to have fun together doing something that we all love, while also providing encouragement and support to one another. Regardless of our talent level, we steadily progress our skills and fitness level by working hard at practice, weightlifting, outside of practice, and we go out of our way to help our teammates progress.

At games, we support our teams by leading the crowd and making the games fun and exciting. Off the sidelines, we are always in the spotlight and ensure that we always represent the university in a positive way. We promote academics by going to class and maintaining good grades.
Cheer and Stunt Clinics
Clinics are held during the fall and winter for athletes currently in high school/college transfer. Clinics are for those wanting to further their skills in a collegiate practice environment. Stay up to date with our clinics through our social media pages or email Coach Meghan Benson for upcoming dates and information (meghan.benson@drake.edu).
