DES MOINES, IOWA ? The Drake women's soccer team fell to Loyola-Chicago, 3-1, Sunday at the Cownie Soccer Complex.
The Ramblers scored two goals in the final 10 minutes of play to end a 1-1 stalemate and earn the win.
Senior
Sarah Foote (Arvada, Colo.) recorded her first goal of the season for the Bulldogs in the 35th minute (34:04), when she took a shot inside the box through traffic to tie the match at 1-1.
Loyola outshot the Bulldogs, 15-12. In a physical match-up, 29 fouls were committed between the two squads, with the Ramblers accounting for 18 alone.
The Bulldogs took a big hit in the 59th minute when they lost their leading scorer, senior
Nikki Thaden (Clive, Iowa), after she received her second caution of the game. Drake was forced to play a player down the remainder of the game.

Sinead Brown (Toronto, Ontario) led the Bulldogs with three shots, while sophomore goalkeeper
Jenny Schroeder (Albuquerque, N.M.) made eight saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
Drake, 2-5-2, returns to the field Oct. 5 facing off against Kansas at 6:30 p.m. at Drake Stadium.
