MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. ? Minnesota scored three runs in the final two innings to snatch a 7-6 victory from the visiting Drake softball team in the second day of the Metrodome Tournament.
The Bulldogs bounced back from a 4-2 deficit entering the fourth inning by scoring three runs in the fourth, followed by one run in the fifth frame to take a 6-4 advantage. Seniors

Marilyn Buss (West Des Moines, Iowa) scored on back-to-back passed balls before sophomore
Elena Leon (West Des Moines, Iowa) singled home freshman

Susan Slycord (West Des Moines, Iowa) hit a solo home run to score Drake's final run in the fifth inning.
Slycord earlier scored on a throwing error in the second inning before Buss singled home Faidley to give the Bulldogs their first lead of the game, 2-1.
Minnesota answered back in the top of the sixth when Amber Nelson's triple plated Aubrey Davis to move it 6-5.
The Gophers tied the game at six when Colleen Conway scored on a wild pitch before Brianna Sudenga drove in Sila Fernandez with a single to set the final 7-6 ledger.
Faidley led the way for the Bulldogs, notching two hits.
Drake continues play in the Metrodome Tournament at 3:30 p.m. Saturday facing off against Tennessee Tech.
