IOWA CITY, IOWA - Suffering its initial loss of the campaign, the Drake men's
tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at Iowa on Wednesday (Feb. 23).
The Hawkeyes swept the doubles competition to acquire a lead
they didn't relinquish.
The Bulldogs collected singles victories at the Nos. 2 and 5
slots, respectively, courtesy of sophomore Jean Erasmus (Windhoek, Namibia) and freshman Robin Goodman (Cambridge,
England).
Erasmus downed Nikita Zotov at No. 2, 6-1, 6-2, while
Goodman bested Tom Mroziewicz on court No. 5, 6-2, 6-1.
Drake continues its road swing on Friday (Feb. 25) as the
Bulldogs tangle with Minnesota in a 6:30 p.m. tilt in St. Paul, Minn.
