DES MOINES, Iowa--Olympian Tabarie Henry, ranked 10th in the world, leads a talented men's field for the 2012 Drake Relays special invitational 400 meters that also includes U.S. No. 8-ranked Miles Smith. The women's invitational 400-meter field will feature two U.S. top 10-ranked runners, Keshia Baker and Mary Wineberg, as well as three-time Relays winner Shereefa Lloyd. Wineberg (Gold) and Lloyd (Bronze) won medals as part of 4x400 relays teams at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

The 103rd edition of "America's Athletic Classic" runs from April 25-28, 2012 at Drake Stadium. The women's 400 is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, while the men's race is set for 4:07 p.m.

Henry competed in the 2008 Olympic Games, representing the U.S. Virgin Islands, and recently finished fourth at the world indoor championships in Istanbul, Turkey. The Texas A&M product finished fourth at the 2009 outdoor world championships and seventh in 2011.

Smith, ranked eighth in the U.S., finished six at the 2011 USA outdoor championships in 45.34, and also ran 45.19 at Luzern to win that race. A five-time All-American at Southeast Missouri State, Smith won a gold medal at the 2005 world outdoor championships as a member of the U.S. 4x400-meter relay team.

Among those also scheduled at this time are France's Teddy Venel, who finished third at last year's Drake Relays (46.02), Lejerald Betters and Jamil Hubbard.

On the women's side, Wineberg, who ran the first leg on the United States' 4x400 relay team that won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics, makes her third attempt at a Drake Relays title. She finished in 51.79 last year, just one one-hundredth of a second behind winner Shana Cox (51.78), after placing third in 2010 (53.01). Wineberg, who ranks 10th in the U.S. in the 400, was part of the U.S. world champion 4x400 team in 2007.

Lloyd has won three of the past five Relays 400-meter events, taking home the 2010 crown in 51.84 after winning previously in 2007 and '09. She was fifth last year and second in 2008. Lloyd earned a bronze medal with the Jamaican 4x400 relay team at the 2008 Olympics, and has earned three silver medals in the event at the World Championships (2007, '09, '11). Her best 400-meter time is 50.62 in 2008.

Also scheduled to compete in the women's invitational 400 meters are Keshia Baker, who was a member of the U.S. 4x400 world champion team last August (3:18.09), and currently ranks ninth in the U.S., as well as Shareese Woods (3rd at last year's Drake Relays in 52.32), Jessica Cousins (4th, 52.35) and Shelise Williams (6th, 52.92).
