DES MOINES, Iowa - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) honored the Drake men's tennis team for its academic success as the Bulldogs were named recipients of the 2013 ITA All-Academic Team Award. 

The recognition is bestowed on squads maintaining a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).  Drake registered a 3.20 team GPA for the 2012-13 academic year.

Sophomores Ben Mullis (Leicestershire, England), Alen Salibasic (Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Grant Tesmer (Lincoln, Neb.) each garnered ITA Scholar-Athlete status for achieving a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.

Salibasic boasted a perfect 4.0 GPA in international business, while Tesmer and Mullis maintained 3.63 and 3.50 GPA's in health sciences and law, politics and society, respectively.
