DES MOINES, Iowa – For the 12th-consecutive season, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has honored the Drake women's soccer program for its academic success as the Bulldogs were named a College Team Academic Award Winner for 2014.
Drake, under the direction of head coach Lindsey Horner, was recognized by NSCAA for maintaining a team grade point average of 3.47 for the 2013-14 academic year. The Bulldogs were one of 585 collegiate women's soccer programs across all divisions to earn the award.
NSCAA also announced that Drake is one of 197 schools to have both its men's and women's soccer programs recognized. Led by longtime head coach Sean Holmes, the men's soccer team posted a 3.34 GPA.
