On Tuesday, May 6, the final exterior wall of the Shivers Basketball Practice facility was erected as the bulk of construction progress now moves indoors.
With the facility bounded by four walls, gravel is currently being laid to prepare for the pouring of the concrete for the main practice floors and team areas. All underground utilities are in place for the locker rooms and team meeting areas while the fire proofing of the upper level progresses.
The concrete of the southern practice floor will be poured early next week, followed by the northern court and locker rooms. Once those floors have been poured and cured the team areas will begin to take shape as the walls go up for the locker rooms, film room and team meeting rooms.
