The Shivers Basketball Practice Facility started to truly become the structure that will help the Bulldogs compete for Missouri Valley Conference titles as the practice backboards and hoops are now in place in the practice gyms.
With the walls of the practice gyms painted a bright white, goals in place and clocks/scoreboards in place, it's easy to envision the Bulldogs soon preparing for competition inside the $8 million, 39,000-square foot facility.
While the practice gyms move close to completion, so too do the teams' future locker rooms, lounges and film rooms. With nearly all of the walls in place, crews will begin finishing those spaces and laying tile in the coming weeks. Also the entrances the teams will use to enter the Knapp Center have been cut from the existing walls to connect the two structures.
