ST. LOUIS – Kyla Inderski (Urbandale, Iowa) of the Drake University volleyball team has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week for the second-straight week, the league announced on Monday.

Inderski had 60 kills in five matches last week to help Drake finish with a 4-1 record, and collect its second-consecutive tournament title. The freshman was named the Most Valuable Player at the Akron Invitational, her second-straight tournament MVP honor, after collecting the Omaha Classic MVP award on opening weekend. In Akron, she was also selected to her second-straight all-tournament team. The Urbandale, Iowa, native has a team-leading 106 kills on the season.

Drake travels to the Skyhawk Invitational hosted by UT-Martin this weekend for three matches. The Bulldogs start the tournament against UT-Martin on Sept. 12 at 7 p.m.
