DES MOINES, Iowa – The 41st-ranked Drake University men's tennis team will travel to No. 62 University of Denver on Saturday (Feb. 21). Play is set to begin between the two ranked teams at 1 p.m. CST at the Lifetime Fitness Center in Centennial.
The Bulldogs are coming off a great performance last weekend when they defeated host Wisconsin, 5-2, and upset No. 29 NC State, 4-3. Ben Lott (Newcastle, England) is currently ranked No. 32 in the nation, while teammate Alen Salibasic (Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzengovia) is ranked 54th in the singles rankings.
Denver is 5-4 in dual-match play and routed No. 59 Utah, 6-1, and BYU, 4-1, last weekend. The last time the Pioneers were home they fell to Nebraska, 4-3, on Feb. 7. Denver's Henry Craig is ranked 113th in singles and is No. 23 in doubles with teammate Alex Gasson.
Drake returns to the Roger Knapp Tennis Center on Sunday, March 1, welcoming Louisiana at 10 a.m. and Missouri Valley Conference foe Illinois State at 4 p.m.
