SEATTLE - Former Drake women's soccer forward Ashlie Stokes (Sioux City, Iowa) has been invited to attend the Seattle Reign FC training camp. The preseason camp, which started March 9, is being held at Memorial Stadium in Seattle, and includes a preliminary roster of 30 players, including 11 returning members from the 2014 team. Stokes is one of 17 trailists working to make the Reign FC roster. The Reign's first friendly of the preseason will be on March 28 against the University of Portland.

If Stokes makes roster she will have the opportunity to play with United States Women's National Team (USWNT) members, Hope Solo, Sydney Leroux and Megan Rapinoe who will join the Reign FC in April following their participation in the Algarve Cup this month in Portugal.

Stokes capped her Drake career by being selected to the 2014 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division 1 Women's All-Great Lakes Region Third Team. Stokes finished her collegiate career with a total of 16 goals and 48 assists. Those totals hold as the sixth and ninth all-time best marks, respectively, in Drake women's soccer history.
