NEW ORLEANS, La. – The 27
th-ranked Tulane Green Waves topped the 35
th-ranked Drake University men's tennis team 4-1 on Sunday at the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center.
"Today was not the way we wanted or expected this road trip to end. Give all the credit to Tulane for coming out after their tough loss yesterday and putting together a performance like this," Drake head coach
Davidson Kozlowski said. "We won't let this one match dictate our season. We've been competing well and playing well."

Vinny Gillespie and
Calum MacGeoch were the first doubles team to get off the court with a 6-4 win at the No. 2 spot, but Tulane managed to win on courts one and three to take the doubles point.
The Green Wave jumped out to a 2-0 after No. 1 Dominik Koepfer defeated sophomore
Bayo Philips, 6-1, 6-1. Gillespie cut the Bulldogs deficit to 2-1 with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the No. 3 spot over Alex Can Cott. The Green Wave went on to clinch the match with victories on courts two and six.
"We have a long season ahead with lots of tennis to be played. We'll return to Des Moines and start preparing for home matches with nationally ranked Purdue and Denver."
The Bulldogs return to the Roger Knapp Tennis Center on Friday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 28 when they host No. 64 Purdue and No. 51 Denver, respectively.
