As a team we are still evolving and while tonight wasn't always pretty we got better in the second half and started to attack the box. We earned some free kicks and corner kicks and started to put their back line under pressure. We are looking forward to opening our league season at home on Sunday."

Kasey Hurt (Ankeny, Iowa) scored the equalizer off a free kick as the left-footer was able to bend her shot in from the right side into the near side of the net. It is the first goal of the season for Hurt, who leads the Bulldogs in assists with four.
