Taryn Rolle, a junior from Nassau, Bahamas, has been named this week's Bulldog Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Drake Graduate and Professional Programs for the second time.
Rolle, a member of the Drake women's track and field team, recorded the team's only title at the Arkansas Spring Invitational March 24-25 by winning the triple jump with a leap of 39-5.75. Earlier that day, she finished sixth in the long jump with a mark of 18-3, which is a new outdoor personal best.
Academically, Rolle holds a 3.79 and is majoring in entrepreneurship.
Rolle and the Drake track and field team travel to Austin, Texas to participate in the Texas Relays on March 29 through April 1 where they will face some of the nation's top teams.
