TULSA, Okla. – The 46th-ranked Drake University men's tennis team improved to 4-0 in Summit League play as the Bulldogs defeated Oral Roberts, 6-1, Sunday. Before beating the Golden Eagles, the Bulldogs fell to Tulsa, 4-2.
 
In the nightcap at Oral Roberts, the Golden Eagles came out on top in doubles to take an early 1-0 lead.
 
The Bulldogs didn't let the dropping affect them in singles as they came out and won the first set on all six courts. Drake kept it rolling in the second set on all six courts as the Bulldogs went on to win in straight sets on very court to earn the 6-1 victory.
 
In the first of the day for Drake, Tulsa managed to come away with the doubles point to go up 1-0.
 
Senior Ben Wood got the Bulldogs on the board with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Boriss Kamdem at No. 6 singles.
 
The Golden Hurricane regained the lead with a straight sets win at No. 2 singles, but junior Ben Clark tied the match back up at, 2-2, with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles.
 
Tulsa grinded out a victory at No. 3 to go up 3-2 and then had No. 118 Majed Kilani pull out a tough three setter over Vinny Gillespie, 7-6, 4-6, 6-3, so secure the 4-2 Hurricane victory.

The Bulldogs return to action on Friday, March 16 at No. 16 Florida State.
