Nick McGlynn is coming off his fourth double-double in MVC action with a 20-point, 10-rebound performance in Wednesday's win over Evansville. This season he is averaging 16.7 points and 9.6 rebounds against conference competition to rank second and first in the league, respectively.
Drake's first-half defense has spurred the recent hot streak as only two conference opponents have scored more than 30 first-half points against the Bulldogs this season. Additionally, MVC opponents are shooting just 38.8 percent from the field and 25.3 percent from three-point range in the first half against Drake.
Following Saturday's game, the Bulldogs return to Des Moines to host Illinois State, Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m.
