DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team picked up a pair of home wins Sunday, Jan. 27, with victories over South Dakota and Augustana (S.D.).

The Bulldogs (2-3) opened the day with a 4-2 morning win over South Dakota followed by 4-1 victory against Augustana in the afternoon.

Daria Walczak (Lodz, Poland) and Kenya Williams (Lauderhill, Fla.) were all undefeated at No. 3 and 5 singles with straight-set victories to propel the Bulldogs to the two team wins.

Walczak also paired with Carmen Palumbo (McLean, Va.) to win a pair of doubles matches and give the Bulldogs the doubles point in both matches.

The Sunday sweep completed a 2-1 homestand for the Bulldogs who host SIUE Feb. 2 and 11 a.m. in their next competition.
