The Bulldogs fell at Missouri State, 1-0, in their last game. With a week break to reorganize, Drake is aiming to get back to their winning ways in Evansville.
Drake and Evansville squared off twice last year. The sides fought to a scoreless draw in Des Moines during the regular season before the Bulldogs won a double-overtime thriller, 1-0, in the MVC tournament.

The Purple Aces (1-8-2, 0-1-1 MVC) are searching for the first win at home this season. They lost at Illinois State, 3-0, in their last match.
After finishing last season 4-12-3, Evansville was slotted fifth in the MVC preseason poll. Sophomore midfielder Emily Wolak, who earned second-team all-conference status in 2018, garnered preseason All-MVC honors prior to this year.
The Purple Aces are winless in their last five go-arounds, losing four matches and producing a 0-0 draw at Indiana State. The offense has struggled to generate quality opportunities as Evansville has been held scoreless in five-straight matches. Opponents are outshooting the Aces by nearly double (16.5 shots per game to 8.3), a ratio that remains consistent in shots on target (8.5 to 4.2).
Wolak and Emily Ormson pace the Aces with two goals apiece. Ormson is one of three Evansville players to register an assist this season, and she leads the team with five points.
Goalkeeper Michaela Till has notched 63 saves this season and boasts a 0.733 save percentage.
